Drew Lacy is entering his third season as the assistant sports information director at Lamar, joining the department in July of 2005.

Lacy serves as the primary media contact for the volleyball, women's basketball, men's and women's track and field and men's and women's tennis programs. He also assists the sports information director on special projects, as needed.

Prior to Lamar, Lacy served as the assistant sports information director at Angelo State University in San Angelo, Texas. He started in the sports information business as an intern at th University of Houston, where he was the primary media contact for the nationally-ranked women's basketball program.

Lacy earned a bachelor degree in journalism from Sam Houston State University in 2003. He was married to the former Erin Kny in June and the couple resides in Lumberton.
