No. 2 seed Lamar opens the 2008 SLC Tournament against No. 7 seed UTA on Thursday. Tip-off at he Merrell Center is set for Noon CT. The Cardinals tied for the regular-season championship with a 13-3 record. LU is 19-10 overall.
