Men's Golf Tied For Fourth At Border Olympics

LAREDO, Texas - The Lamar men's golf team sits in fourth place at 583 after two rounds of the Border Olympics, held at the Laredo Country Club Friday. Lamar shot a 292 in the first round and maintained its fourth-place standing with a 291 in the days' second round. Arkansas leads the tournament after climbing seven spots with a second-round 281 for a 576 total. Tourney-host Houston and Division II-power South Carolina-Aiken are tied for second at 580. Casey Clendenon and Justin Harding have paced the Cardinals as each player is even-par or better and ranked in the top 11 entering Saturday's final round. Clendenon shot 73-69--142 to rank in a for eighth while Harding's 71-73--144 places him in a tie for 11th.
