Harding's Third Place Finish Leads Lamar In Hootie At Bulls Bay

AWENDAW, S.C. - Justin Harding fired a final-round 67 to lead the Lamar men's golf team to a tie for fifth at the Hootie at Bulls Bay Intercollegiate on Tuesday.

Harding completed the 54-hole tournament with pair of 67s around a 74 for a 208 total. Leroux Ferriera opened his round with a birdie and eagle en route to a 69 for a 221 total. Casey Clendenon also went low on Tuesday as he tied for 14th with a 69 to finish at 213.

Hugues Joannes and Russell Helson completed the event with a 226 and 227 totals respectively.

As a team, Lamar shot a 281 for a tourney total of 861, at nine-over-par. North Carolina State cruised to a 12-shot victory with a final-round 271 and a 838 total. Clemson and South Carolina tied for second at 850, Florida was fourth at 851 and Virginia Tech match the Cardinals' score of 861.

Lamar will return to action April 7-9 when they travel to Augusta, Ga., for the Administaff Augusta State Invitational.
